Email from KDMHA Risk & Safety - December 6, 2020 PDF LINK

Good afternoon,

As our first session winds down and we get closer to the Christmas break, we want to acknowledge that the first session has gone very well - THANKS TO ALL OF YOU!

BUT with COVID numbers on the rise in our community, risks are increasing. There are a number of rink rules that we are all required to follow as an association - doing so is in the best interest of our hockey family and rink staff, and will help keep our players on the ice.

  1.  Masks are to remain on the entire time the players/bench staff are in the dressing room until helmets are on and must be put back immediately after helmets are removed in the dressing rooms, remaining on until outside the facility.
  2. Players have to stay in their dressing rooms until it is time to go on the ice - no gathering in hallways or entranceways to the ice.
Coaches, Managers and other designated bench staff are responsible for advising your groups when they can start to head to the ice.
  1. Parents are NOT to gather in the lobby or hallway to dressing rooms at any time. Once players are ready to go on the ice, parents are to go directly out to the rink stands. Please ensure you are physically distancing while in the stands (this means 6ft/2m apart at all times), with masks on. Once participants are done, please leave the rink as soon as possible.

Everyone confirms that we will follow all the requirements of KDMHA, local health authorities and the facility every time we complete the KDMHA COVID-19 screening form.

Let’s please keep doing everything we can to ensure that we can continue with Session 2 in January.

For more information, please continue to refer to the Leeds, Grenville and Lanark District Public Health website (https://healthunit.org/coronavirus/) and the KDMHA COVID-19 Policy (http://kemptvillehockey.com/files/kdmha_covid-19_policy.pdf). If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to your convenor or Risk & Safety.

Thanks,
