Andrew Rowntree - Storm U9 Comp

I have been coaching at all levels of girls & boys hockey for many years. I have been the Coach Mentor for the KDMHA and have coached different levels within the organization.

I strongly believe in, player development, team atmosphere and coach mentoring while ensuring players are having fun playing the game that they love!

In order to have a successful team, it is important to ensure that the players are engaged and willing to develop their skills on and off the ice.

Coaching at many different levels has been helpful to determine what players need to do in order to be successful. I am looking forward to the season (whatever that will look like)

!!!! Go Storm Go!!!!

Andrew

Warren Holmes - Storm U11 Comp B

My name is Warren Holmes and it’s a privilege to serve as the head coach for the Kemptville Storm U11 Comp B team for the 2020-2021 season.

Over the years I have had the opportunity to meet many parents and players who will be competing for a spot on this team, but for those whom I have not met, I wanted to give you a brief snapshot of who I am, my background, as well as provide an overview of my coaching philosophy and team/player expectations.

I have spent my entire life playing and teaching the game of hockey.  After graduating from the OHL, I played Varsity hockey in Halifax at Dalhousie University and transitioned my playing career to teaching and coaching hockey.

My goal with any young athlete is to help them grow not only on the ice but more importantly off the ice.  The game of hockey provides an amazing avenue for young athletes to develop skills that will allow them to further themselves in life long after their competitive playing days are over.  These, along with on-ice skill development, are the key elements to a great “TEAM” and for kids to have the most FUN.

I look forward to seeing everyone in September and if you have any questions about the team please feel free to contact me at wholmes55@hotmail.com or 613-327-4276.

Warren

Mike Buller - Storm U13 Comp B

My name is Mike Buller and I am privileged to be selected to coach the 2020-21 Kemptville Storm U13 B competitive team.  I have been a head coach and assistant coach with the Storm organization, as well as A and AA levels and a head coach at the AA level (Major Atom) in recent years.

My philosophy as a coach is to create a fun, hardworking, disciplined environment for the players and to push them to get the best out of their abilities.  Our practices will be high tempo with a lot of movement at a fast pace as I am a firm believer that you have to practice at top speed to be able to play games at top speed.  I believe that when we all work hard to improve as individuals in a team environment, the team takes massive steps forward.

I am looking for skilled, hardworking coachable players who want to improve every time they hit the ice.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at mike@bullercrichton.ca or 613-898-5117.

See you at the rink!

Mike

TBD - Storm U13 Comp C

Steve Collins - Storm U15 Comp A

Steve has coached with the KDMHA every year since 2010, at all levels, both with the Panthers/Royals and Storm.

He has a strong passion for the game and for player development.

Steve believes winning has more to do with effort and attitude than simple ability and believes winning becomes a habit formed in athletes when properly fostered.

He is excited to be coaching the Storm Competitive U15 team and looks forward to a successful year.

Steve

Andrew Williams - Storm U18 Comp B

I am pleased to have the opportunity to coach the U18 Team this season! Over the years, I have held various coaching roles in Storm hockey and I can't wait for the 2020-2021 season to get underway.

My goal for this year is to create an environment that encourages players to be successful on and off the ice with a strong focus on team unity, communication, and confidence.

My hope is that each player is motivated to improve their skills and provide support and respect for their teammates. I believe that every season can be successful by dedication and effort, with a desire to compete.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at YWilly10@outlook.com.

Wayne Gill - Storm U18 Comp C

I have enjoyed coaching Storm teams at every level and age group for the past eight seasons. New challenges, excitement and friendships develop every year.

My ultimate goal is to create an environment that leads to success. This starts with having the right personnel around you and cooperation of all team members. I believe that “Little things make big things happen”. If we teach the little things off and on the ice, success will happen. Success is knowing we all did the best we are capable of.

Being organized and prepared with a season plan, lesson/practice plans, and game plan is something I take pride in. In return each player is expected to be attentive, confident and a team player. It takes all of us to be successful and enjoying ourselves is always a priority.

We play because we love the game.

Wayne
