Questions and Answers for Coaches

Q:  Who is responsible for mailing in game sheets if the referee has to fill in a referee's game report?

A:    In the case of a game report being done, if it is simple and can be done quickly, the referee should do it in the ref room and let the team manager send in the game sheet. If it is a more complicated report, the home team should send the envelope and white copy of the game sheet with the referee who is then responsible for sending it in to Barb Levere. Either way, the home team should bring the envelopes to the arena for all home games, just in case.

Q:    What happens when a goaltender receives a penalty for a mouthguard infraction?

A:     The mouthguard situation for the goalie is the same as for any other penalty to the goalie. If it is a minor penalty or a 10 minute misconduct, a skater on the ice must serve this time for the goaltender.
