- Atom Rep finished in first place finish in the Atom Rep West Division for the 2011-12 hockey season

Notice For People Taking Online Trainer's Course

Upon successful completion of the Level 1 or Level 1 Refresher online course and exam, you will be able to generate a printable Certificate of Completion and/or wallet card from the Learning Centre. Your affiliated Branch/Division will also receive an automatic notification of your certification. Final approval is granted by the affiliated Branch/Division upon verification of eligibility and your HTCP certification status and expiry date will be entered or updated in the Hockey Canada Registry. IMORTANT NOTE: This site is not linked to the HCR system, therefore your HTCP certification is not automatically uploaded. Please consult with your affiliated Branch/Division regarding their procedure for processing your certification into the HCR. A list of Branch/Division contact personnel can be found in the FAQs section.
HTCP certification numbers will not be issued upon completion of the online courses. It will be the responsibility of each Branch/Division to assign certification numbers and/or provide wallet cards to their respective participants if they wish to do so. Please contact your affiliated Branch/Division for further information. Note: The number on your Certificate of Completion is not an HTCP number.

You will require skates and an approved helmet.

Pre-Season Power Skating

KDMHA announces Power Skating Sessions for the 2011-2012 pre-season. We will host two groups with 4 - 50 minute ice sessions each.
Skaters from both Panthers and Storm, Novice to Peewee ages
will be the primary focus with Novice/1st year Atom and Major Atom/Peewee grouped together. Exceptions to those age groups
will be gladly reviewed. Instruction will be provided by a qualified power skating instructor and supported by a minimum
of two KDMHA coaching staff as well. Due to limited space we will be accepting registrations on a first come/ first served
basis.
To reserve your spot please forward child's name and division, parent or guardian name and a daytime contact phone
number to ice@kemptvillehockey.com.
Reservations will be accepted for those players whose registrations for the 2011 2012
season have been processed and paid.

KDMHA Launches Online Registration

KDMHA is pleased to announce an on-line registration system for returning Storm and Panthers players.
Tips and reminders about on-line registration:
- The on-line system is only to be used to register players that were part of KDMHA for the 2010/11 season. New players to KDMHA must download the registration form the registration page.
- Do not use the system if youve already registered your son/daughter either in-person or by mail.
- As with the paper registration form, the on-line system allows you to also register your son/daughter for conditioning camp and tryouts. Please complete these fields accurately so we can plan as needed.
- Currently, the on-line system allows for entry of only one email address. Please ensure this is a valid and primary address as it will be used to send the confirmation of registration email.
- Registrations completed by June 15th will receive the $25 early bird discount per player. The system will automatically remove the discount at 12:01am on the 16th.
- If after receiving the confirmation email you realize a mistake was made or changes are required, forward the confirmation email outlining changes to the Registrar registrar@kemptvillehockey.com. At this time, the system does not allow for changes on-line.
- If you have questions or ideas for improvement, please email the website admin at admin@kemptvillehockey.com.

- Registrations received by Wednesday June 15th, at either an in-person registration or by mail, will receive a $25.00 early-bird discount
- Registrations for returning players received after August 1st will be subject to a $150.00 late fee.

It is registration time again. Find the 2011 2012 forms on the registration page.
In order to receive the early bird discount of $25.00 per player, the registration dates for this year are as follows:
- Thursday May 26th 7:00 - 9:00 PM
- Sunday May 29th 9:00 - 2:00 PM
Registration forms will be available at the registration dates above or you can print off the appropriate form which is attached and bring it with you (Panthers is for boys and girls, Storm is girls only). Birth certificates are only needed for new players.
If you cannot make one of the registration dates you can:
- Mail in your form to: P.O. Box 1633, Kemptville, ON K0G 1J0 along with your payment.
- Contact the registrar to drop it off (see contact information below)
At the end of May online registration will be available only for returning Panther and Storm players at www.kemptvillehockey.com. Online payment can also be made if you choose to do so. New players will need to contact the registrar to register.

KDMHA Storm Surge Success

The 2011 KDMHA Storm Surge was another success this year.31 girls participated, ranging in age from Novice to Bantam. Each girl received a pink "Storm Surge" jersey to keep. A huge Thank You to Coaches Steve, Joy, Tina and Daina, and on-ice helpers Laura, Carley, Anna and Emily.

Kemptville Panthers League Champions!

Kemptville Minor Hockey Association is proud to announce that Kemptville Panthers Atom C3 Team has earned the top position in the Upper Canada Minor Hockey League Atom House C Division for the 2010- 2011 Season.
Through regular season play, the team posted a fantastic 20 win, 1 tie and 3 loss record earning not only 1st place in the 7 team West division but also top record for the entire 13 team Atom C level. Playoff action saw the Panthers defeat South Dundas in 2nd round action, Kemptville C4 in 3rd round action and then Smiths Falls Bears in a three game straight win final round. Way to go Panthers!

We Are The Champions

On Saturday April 2nd, The Kemptville PeeWee House 2 STORM finished their season in dramatic style. Led by persistant forechecking of the forwards, the unpenetrable wall of our defence and stellar goaltending, we were able to conquer the regular season league champions (CarletonPlace ) and win the playoff championship in overtime/shootout. No one will ever forget the power outage in the middle of overtime, leading to the nail biting shootout. It was a fantastic way to end the full season of exciting hockey these girls treated us to throughout the year. Your coaches and parents are extremely proud of all of you. CONGRATULATIONS!

Kemptville Panthers C4 Win!

The Kemptville Panthers Atom C4 team participated in the Ottawa Year End Tournament For Rogers House on April 2-3, 2011, winning the B side! In their first game, they faced the West End Anacondas, losing 4-2. This moved them to the B side, where they went on to win against the Nepean All Stars with a score of 10-1 and then the Canterbury Lightning 8-0. The final game was played against the Ottawa East Crushers, where they took the Championship with a final score of 8-1. Congratulations team, well done!

All jerseys are to be washed and hung up on hangers in their appropriate jersey bags ... pucks & pylons returned at this time as well --- goalie equipment to be returned in the equipment bags provided (please ensure neck guard is returned) as well as sticks.
Panthers Novice C4 Cause Stir at Gerry Lowe Tournament

Kemptville Novice Panthers C4 created a buzz at the Smiths Falls 2011 Gerry Lowe Memorial Tournament this past weekend. An initial 5-0 loss to Brockville followed by a 2-0 win against Smiths Falls Novice 1 saw the Novice C4 Panthers facing off against Smiths Falls Novice 2 in the final. In the dying minutes of the third period, Smiths Falls was leading by one, when Kemptville scored a tying goal with 13 seconds left, forcing the game into sudden death overtime. After a 3 minute period of 4-on-4 overtime, then 3-on-3, and finally 2-on-2 the score was still tied at 9-9 when Kemptville pulled a "too many men on the ice" penalty after a bad change. The packed arena fell silent as Kemptville's one lone defencemen faced two Smiths Falls attackers. At the puck drop Smiths Falls charged into the Kemptville zone but a turn-over gave Kemptville's defencemen a chance for a breakaway and allowed him to score short-handed. Final score was 10-9 for Kemptville after 6 periods of hockey. Congratulations Panthers Novice C4 on a hard-earned win!

Panthers Novice B1 Win at Gerry Lowe Tournament

The Panthers Novice B1 team won the B final 2-0 against Cornwall at the 2011 Gerry Lowe Tournament in Smiths Falls on the weekend. Kemptville Novice B1 won all 3 games played during yesterday's tournament leading to a flawless victory.

Peewee C1 Panthers Win

The Kemptville PeeWee C1 Panthers Won the 7th Annual Capital House League Championship Tournament at the Bell Sensplex in Kanata. Feb 25 to 27.
The team went 5-0-0 and won the Final Championship game against Brockville 2-1, the game went into double sudden death overtime with no scoring and then a 5 player shoot out that Kemptville won 3 -0.

Panthers Prowl in Rochester!

The Kemptville Atom Rep B Panthers travelled to Rochester, New York on January 15th-17th to participate in the 2011 Empire State Cup and the team came away with the B Championship! The team played a very up tempo and opportunistic style over the weekend, outscoring the opposition 28 - 8 while amassing a record of 2 wins, 1 loss and 1 tie. Way to go Panthers!

Novice C2 Panthers Win Westport Tournament

The Kemptville Novice C2 Panthers won their second consecutive tournament, winning the Westport A championship. The boys dominated the first two games, not allowing any goals, however the final proved to be a huge challenge as they faced the Kemptville Novice C3 team who were also undefeated going into the final. The lead went back and forth and both teams equally deserved the victory. However, in the end a sudden death goal in overtime was the difference as the C2 team won 4-3! Congratulations Kemptville C2 - Westport A champions.
Panthers Novice B1 at Lift Locks

The Panthers Novice B1 team represented Kemptville at the 2nd Annual Lift Locks Tournament in Peterborough this past weekend, January 29 & 30. It was a unique outdoor tournament that took place on the Trent Canal beside the famous Lift Locks. The Novice B1 Panthers played 4 games against 3 other novice teams from Ontario, winning 2, tying one and only losing one game. A great time had by all.

Panthers Novice B2 Win 67's Tournament

The boys started off the Christmas holidays by winning their second straight tournament. They played excellent hockey and went 5-0. They played strong defensive hockey in their first 4 games and had very few goals against. Then they won a convincing 4-2 win over the kemptville B1 team in the finals. Congratulations.

Congratuations to the Panthers Bantam B for taking top spot at the South Grenville Tournament Jan 16th! The team had three outstanding games with a final 4-1 win over South Grenville in the A final. Way to go Panthers!
Panthers PeeWee B Almonte Champs
January 10, 2011
Kemptville Panthers PeeWee B recently traveled to Almonte and won the Almonte B Body Contact Tournament. They started the day by facing and beating the Renfew Farrells with a score of 2-0 to move onto the A-side. The next game was against a home-team favorite, Almonte Thunder #2. After going into the 3rd period down by 3 goals, the boys battled back and where tied after 50 minutes of regulation time. The game then went into 5 minutes of 4-on-4 overtime and then a 3-shooter Shoot Out where the Kemptville boys came out on top. Quite an exciting game! In the final game the Kemptville boys played another local favorite, the Almonte Thunder #1 team and won with another shut-out to become the tournament champs. The boys put in solid efforts in all of their games and represented Kemptville Panthers very well - great work boys!

Kemptville Storm Atom Competitive C recently traveled to Belleville and won the Belleville New Year classic. They were undefeated in 4-games of round-robin play, beating the Belleville Atom B team 4-1, Napanee Atom B team 3-0, Peterborough Atom C team 3-0 and the Kingston Atom B team 1-0. They played a local team, the Russell Coyotes Atom C in the A-finals, and won the exciting and fast-paced the game 2-1 to become the tournament champs. The girls put in solid efforts in all 5 of their games and represented Kemptville Storm very well - great work ladies!

Panthers Midget B House Win at Home

Kemptville Panthers Midget B House won their home tournament on Dec. 28. They were undefeated in round-robin play, beating Athens 3-1 and Arnprior 6-1. They played North Dundas 1 in the A-finals, winning the game 2-1 to become the tournament champs. The team bench staff is Steve Thibert, Greg Chapleau and Wade Hobbs. Players are Cody Hannaford, Matthew MacLellan, Mitchell Thibert, Travis MacEachern, Jesse Chapleau, Matthew Hobbs, Josh Kingsbury, Kyle Guy, Kyle Renaud, Brendan Plunkett, Daniel Williams, Kyle Springer, Justin Gagnon, Travis Gilchrist, and Cory Hobbs; goal tenders are Wesley Leizert and Brad Leach. Panthers Novice C3 Win in Perth

Congratulations to the Kemptville Panthers Novice C3 team for winning the B side Championship in the Perth Novice Tournament December 11th. The C3 team won their second game against Stittsville 3-2 in double overtime to advance to the B finals. They upset hometown Perth 7-5 to take the top honours in the B championship.
Panthers Novice B2 Win Take Gold in Osgoode-Rideau

Kemptville Novice B2 team won gold in the Osgoode-Rideau in a four-day tournament from November 4th to 7th. They were undefeated in round robin play and succeeded in shutting out Osgoode-Rideau in the semi-finals. They clinched gold with a 4-1 win against Embrun on Sunday afternoon. Congratulations Panthers!

The Special Events request form for Panthers teams has been updated. All Panthers coaches and managers are reminded that before organizing any extracurricular team activities like off-ice training or social events, they need to fill-in and submit a special event request form so that the association's insurance is extended to the event. The Purple Lightning Panthers played their first tournament in Perth on December 11th, 2010 and emerged as "A" side champs with 3 wins beating Kanata 7-0, North Leeds 1-0 and South Stormont 2-1. Congratulations team on the victory!

The Kemptville Panthers Atom B1 team travelled to Perth for a tournament on Nov. 20. They won three games in a row, winning the A-Finals!! Way to go team!

Mouthguard Clinic

Mobile Smiles, Ottawa, will be coming to the North Grenville Municipal Complex on September 18, 2010 from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm for custom mouthguard fittings. The cost of a proform mouthguard is $45.00. Players can choose their own colour once the impression is made and 10% of every purchase is donated back to KDMHA.

Coach Evaluation Forms Available

A coach evaluation questionnaire is available for all members of the KDMHA. Parents or guardians are encouraged to print the form, complete it and if they feel comfortable, share it directly with their Head Coach. If they would rather, they can share it directly with the Coach Coordinator, either in person or through the mail.

The KDMHA Annual General Meeting for the 2009–2010 season has been scheduled for 7:00 PM Thursday, April 29th, 2010 at the St. Michael CHS cafeteria. It is mandatory that all executive members be in attendance. Members of the public are also welcome to attend. This is the venue where you can voice any concerns regarding the previous season or suggestions for the upcoming season. Come and get involved in your child's hockey experience.

Coach Stream Clinic

A Coach Stream Clinic is being offered at the North Grenville Municipal Center Nov. 6th and Nov. 7th. This course will allow you to be either Head Coach at House League level or Assistant Coach at House and Competitive levels. The course includes Speak Out, is comprised of both in-class and on-ice sessions, and has pre-course and post-course assignments.

Custom Mouth Guard Clinic

running a clinic for custom-fit mouth guards Wednesday, September 16th, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Proper fitting mouth guards not
only protect children's teeth but also protect against concusion. The clinic will be held at the Kemptville Dental Office, across
the road from the Municipal Center.

Tryouts for ODMHA On-Ice Officials
Try outs for potential ODMHA officials under Kemptville Minor Hockey Association will be held :
Sunday September 11th at 3:30 PM at the Kemptville arena.
You will require skates and an approved helmet.
The session is free and will be one hour in length with approximately 20-30 minutes off ice-discussion after.
