A Finalists in South Grenville
Kemptville Novice B3 Panthers were “A” finalists in the South Grenville Novice B Tournament this week-end, February 20th. They played a close and tough game against Alexandria Glens, losing 4-3. Win in Eganville
Congratulations to the Kemptville Panthers Bantam B House returned from Eganville January 29th with the tournament trophy. After beating out South Stormont Selects 7 to 1 in the morning and the Westmeath Warriers 7 to 4, the Panthers successfully challenged Perth/Lanark B1winning the A final by a score of 4 to 1. Well done Panthers!

Win in Peterborough
Congratulations Kemptville Novice B3 Panthers for their championship win at the “Peterborough Under the Locks tournament”, on January 28th and 29th. A well deserved double overtime win in the final. Panthers Novice B2
Win in Pembroke
The Novice B2 Panthers traveled to Pembroke January 21-22 to compete in B House tournament. The boys played hard during their five games and were awarded with their fourth tournament win of the season! The Panthers paved their way to the championship by defeating the Smith Falls Bears B2, West Carleton Warriors, St. Isidore Eagles in round robin play, the Pembroke Dynamite in the semis and the Smith Falls Bears B2 in the finals. The Panthers would like to congratulate all of their opponents for great games over the weekend.

2012 Bell Cup Finalists
The Kemptville Panthers Atom B1 Team was 1 of 60 teams participating in the Bell Cup Atom House B Division held December 28th, 2011 to January 1st, 2012. Going into the tournament the Atom B1 team, undefeated in regular season play, were hopeful of representing Kemptville well. And they did just that! The Panthers proved to be very strong, winning all 3 round robin games and finishing first in their pool.

Win in Almonte
The Kemptville Novice B2 Panthers are on a roll! The boys played in Almonte on January 8 and came away victorious with an undefeated record in the three games! The team out scored their opponents by a margin of 32-1 and did not allow many shots on net! Great job boys!

Storm Novice 2
Win Gold in Kingston
The Kemptville Novice Storm #2 Team competed in Kingston the weekend of January 6th to 8th, 2012. They played a series of Round Robin games against the Kanata Rock Stars, OGHA #3 and the Kingston Ice Wolves Blue winning all three of their games 7-1, 10-0 and 6-1 respectively. The Quarter Final game matched the Storm #2 against the Gloucester Cumberland Leopards. The Leopards and the Storm played hard ending the first period of the game in a 3-3 tie. The girls were well matched and ended the game with a final score of 5-4 in favour of Storm #2 securing a spot in the Semi Finals. The Novice Storm Team would like to thank the Leopard’s Head Coach for his fantastic sportsmanship in congratulating the girls on their win and wishing them luck to take it right to the Finals to win the Gold! Storm #2 played the Semi Final game against the Kingston Ice Wolves Red winning 5-2 bringing the girls to play in the Finals against Cornwall Blue. Excitement was in the air for both teams, as they played hard for the Championship Title. Congratulations Kemptville Novice Storm #2 for your 3-2 Victory!.

Win Cornwall Holiday Classic
The Kemptville Novice B2 Panthers were in Cornwall on December 27 attending the Holiday Classic where they had a great showing winning the "B" finals. In the first game the Panthers fell 3-2 in a hard fought game against Embrun dropping them to the "B" side. Game 2 saw the boys handle Cumberland 15-1, which put them in the final. The Panthers meet the hometown, Cornwall Colts. This game was close after 1 period with the Panthers leading 2-1. They never looked back in the second and third and won the game 5-2! Great job boys!

Storm Novice 2
Win December Carleton Place Tourney
The Kemptville Storm started off their day playing against the Nepean Wildcats. Both teams played hard ending the first period of the game in a 0-0 tie. In the second period the Storm girls kicked it into high gear scoring 4 goals in the second and 3 in the third winning their first game 7-1. The second game of the day matched the Kemptville Storm #2 against the Carleton Place Cyclones. The Cyclones had also won their first game of the tournament, both teams going into the second game full of anticipation. Kemptville Storm #2 scored 4 goals in the first period, 3 in the last, ending this game 7-1 and bringing the Kemptville Storm #2 team to play in the finals, where they would face up once again against the Carleton Place Cyclones!. It was a nail biting third game, both teams wanting the win and goals going back and forth between the teams as they played for first place. Congratulations to the Kemptville Storm #2 Novice girls for winning the Carleton Place Tournament with a final score of 6-3 – Way to go Novice Storm #2!

Panthers PeeWee B2
Participate in Future Sens Program
On Friday, December 16 th, the Kemptville Pee Wee B2 boys travelled to Scotia Bank Place to take on the South Stormont Selects as part of the Future Sens program.
The team came out flying, taking a 4 – 0 lead on goals by Aidan Sutherland, Austin Lindsey, Justin Rice and Thomas Bares. South Stormont made a game of it scoring 2 goals in the 2nd half but Kemptville held on to win 4 – 2.
Penguins coach Dan Bylsma took in some of the festivities as did Pittsburgh forward Tyler Kennedy (not Boston’s Nathan Horton, Ross) and the boys met with Sens forward Eric Condra after the game.
To top off the night the Sens beat the Pittsburgh Penguins 6 – 4.

Wins A final in North Dundas' Mega House Tournament
The Kemptville Panthers Atom B2 started out the day with a game against Ottawa Centre. Both teams played hard but the Panthers prevailed with a 4-1 win. The second game match had our Panthers up against Petawawa, it was an intense game going into the third period with a 2-2 tie. In the last 7 minutes of the game the Panthers were on fire and scored 3 goals in the third period to place their win against Petawawa with a 5-2 final score. In their final game, Kemptville Atom B2 played the home team of North Dundas, winning against them 3-0 and taking home the title of "A" Champions of the Atom tournament. Way to go Panthers!

2011-2012 Smiths Falls Atom B Tournament Win
The Kemptville Panthers Atom B1 team are the Champions of the Smiths Falls Atom B tournament held on November 19th. The Panthers Atom B1 team shut out their first 2 opponents with 8-0 victory over both the Stittsville Atom B3 Killer B’s and the Cumberland Gladiators Atom B3.
Going into the Final at 5:30 PM against the Smiths Falls Bears it was evident within the first few minutes of play all the players were pushing their hardest and were determined to win the Gold Medal Game. The first period proved to be very intense as the Bears pulled out front with a 2-1 lead. The Panthers stayed focused tying the game 2-2 in the first and moving on to score 4 goals in the second period and 2 in the third earning an 8-2 win over the Bears. Way to go Panthers!!!!!!

Panthers Novice B2
2011-2012 Napanee Tournament Win
The Kemptville Panthers Novice B2 won their second straight tournament in Napanee on the weekend of November 25-27! The Panthers went 5-0 during the tournament and played some hard fought games against teams from Cumberland, Quinte West, Prince Edward County and Belleville. There were two shutouts and only 4 GAA allowed by our goaltenders! The championship saw the Panthers play against Belleville with the score being 2-1 after the first, 4-1 after the second and the team putting it away in the third with a 6-1 win! Every player played hard and fought for the puck. Great job boys!!
